The Expertise of Chloe Oldfather
Born and raised in Hilo, Chloe Oldfather is a second-generation REALTOR® with deep roots in the Big Island community. Coming from a real estate family with over 40 years of experience, she was immersed in the industry from an early age. Her diverse background—ranging from competitive athletics to the arts, international travel, and psychology—shapes her well-rounded, client-focused approach to real estate.
Chloe attended Waiakeawaena, Waiakea Intermediate, and Hilo High before pursuing her education at Suffolk University in Madrid becoming conversational in Spanish, and continuing on to Boston, where she graduated with degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. She later continued pre-med studies at UH Hilo. Her time living in Spain, Argentina, Boston, and Portland broadened her perspective, but her heart was always drawn back to the Big Island.

Her career path has been dynamic, including work as a therapist for at-risk youth, using horticulture as a healing modality, and bartending to support her education. Ultimately, she followed her passion for real estate, gaining experience with a large corporate brokerage before transitioning to a boutique firm where she could provide more personalized service. Chloe specializes in both residential and commercial real estate, helping clients find properties that truly fit their needs and aspirations.
Beyond real estate, Chloe is an athlete at heart, having competed in gymnastics, cross country, tennis, and ultimate frisbee throughout high school and college. She’s also a lifelong artist, with experience in theater, singing, dancing, and ceramics. An active member of the Hawaii Island REALTORS® Association, she currently resides on the east side of the Big Island with her dog, Kalakoa. She embraces Hilo’s tight-knit community, loves starting her mornings with a sunrise surf, and enjoys spending time with her large extended family.
